WOYZECK/GALILEO

WOYZECK/GALILEO was a double-bill combining Georg Büchner's WOYZECK and Bertolt Brecht's LIFE OF GALILEO.

This collision of two of history’s most celebrated dramatic works was presented in conjunction with the special exhibition Inventur—Art in Germany, 1943–55 at the Fogg Art Museum. WOYZECK/GALILEO explores the human condition in the context of historical, scientific, and technological development.

WOYZECK/GALILEO was the first theatrical performance in the Calderwood Courtyard, the central foyer of one of Boston's most prominent art museums, designed by world-renowned architect Renzo Piano.
