THE GOAT EXCHANGE is an international ensemble producing site-specific, multi-form theatrical experiences and irreverent reappropriations of classic dramatic texts and verbatim transcripts. Our process is interdisciplinary and collaborative, incorporating influences from opera, dance, literature, film, contemporary music, architecture, slapstick, mixed-media installation, pop-culture, and public art. Performing in sites ranging from conventional performance venues to public spaces such as bars, museums, and even a football stadium, and with the help of a diverse range of source materials, we reimagine history by reconsidering the relationship between text, authorship, and spectatorship.
